She was an elderly Chinese woman (101 years old). Her condition has stunned her family and local villagers because of a 2.4 inch horn growing from her left-side forehead and it looks like another horn will grow too on her right-side of her forehead.

Her full name is Zhang Rui Fang, 101, of Linlou village, Henan province, Chinese, began developing the mysterious protrusion last year. Since then it has grown 2.4in in length and another now appears to emerging on the other side of the mother of seven’s forehead.

The condition has left her family baffled and worried.

Her youngest of six sons, Zhang Guo Zheng, 60, said when a patch of rough skin formed on her forehead last year ‘we did not pay too much attention to it’.

‘But as time went on a horn grew out of her head and it is now 6cm long,' added Mr Zhang, whose eldest brother and sibling is 82 years old. ‘Now something is also growing on the right side of her forehead. It’s quite possible that it’s another horn.’

Although, it is unknown what the protrusion is on Mrs Zhang’s head, it resembles a cutaneous horn. This is a funnel-shaped growth and although most are only a few millimetres in length, some can extend a number of inches from the skin.

Cutaneous horns are made up of compacted keratin, which is the same protein we have in our hair and nails, and forms horns, wool and feathers in animals. They usually develop in fair-skinned elderly adults who have a history of significant sun exposure but it is extremely unusual to see it form protrusions of this size.

The growths are most common in elderly people, aged between 60 and the mid-70s. They can sometimes be cancerous but more than half of cases are benign.

Common underlying causes of cutaneous horns are common warts, skin cancer and actinic keratoses, patches of scaly skin that develop on skin exposed to the sun, such as your face, scalp or forearms. Cutaneous horns can be removed surgically but this does not treat the underlying cause.

After seeing that image you may say "What the hell is that???" and start asking. Is it really exists? What's the name of that creature? Well, I have no idea about the answer to those questions. So, lets just getting familiar with strange creatures. Who knows you will meet one of them by chance .

First, you have to know that this volcano has erupted FOUR TIMES so far. Will there be another eruption? Who knows.

The first one is on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 23.30 (local time). Huh! That's a really bad time to have a disaster. That was an unexpected eruption because the local scientists said that the mountain is still safe. When hearing an explosion voice, some people thought that it was a plane. Then, they finally shocked after found out about volcano eruption. Due to that unexpected eruption, over 20000 (two thousands) refugees are gathering in a refugee camp. Lots of them are moving to their family houses located in nearby towns.

The scientists also predicted that there will be another explosion. And ..... ?they are absolutely right this time. On Monday, August 30, 2010 at 18.30 (local time), Sinabung spits out its lava again. And again, dusts and black ashes were spreading out covering kilometers of area. Whew.. what a volcano.

Does the mountain died? No.. On Friday, September 03, 2010 at 04.51 (local time), it erupts again. This one is considered as the biggest eruption from the previous eruptions. The noise can be heard until 8 kilometers in radius and the ashes reach the height of 3000 meter. As the situation calmed down, the local scientists informs the local residence that it was safe now to go back to their own house. But...

On the same day, at 17.59 (local time), it erupts again. Again??? Oh yes. The local residence went panic and blame the scientists for their false. They demanded the government to provide a better scientists to analyze the exact activities withing the Mount Sinabung.

As a brief history of Mount Sinabung, its height is around 2400 meters above sea surface and its last eruption was 400 years ago.

Some users questioned whether the phenomenon is part of a natural occurrence or just a hoax someone is editing the image.

"This phenomenon is called as a sun dog or guard dog of the sun. Ordinary light appears on the left-right of halo , so often seen the sun despite its smaller size", he said.

It is caused by sunlight refracted by ice crystals. It usually appears in the horizon where the sun rises not too far from the horizon or skyline, he said.
